LOUDER THAN WORDS 2018
Coming to the end of third year at AUB, we branded our degree 'Louder Than Words', to recognise the power of visuals over description alone. We wanted to say that ideas are the most important part of design, and that that's what we'd accomplished.
Our year had seen a lot of motion work and videos produced, so we needed some way of presenting all of it in a concise way which also headed up each project with its title and who made it.

I designed this sequence around the existing branding and website design, using the loud yellow and pink to really scream out and grab attention. I started with the 'explosion' - a web of dots that represented everyone's work, using that as a hub for the beginning and end of each piece so that it felt like we're returning to that selection area before moving into the next project. I felt it was key to show the title and name for a longer period of time, just so people walking by have more of a chance to join a video before it starts rather than part way through.
When producing the reels, we had three categories - Motion Graphics, general project videos, and still images. As you can imagine, there were a lot more videos and stills than pure motion, so in order to compensate for the lengthier reels, I created a condensed version of the ident transition.
