Welcome to AUB
A group of students including myself were tasked by the University to create a video for new students. We were given a piece of audio explaining the expectations placed on new students, and had to create an engaging visual to illustrate the topics being spoken. We actually decided to re-record the audio because the original piece was just one voice, and didn't reflect the diversity of the university very well, so we collected a group of students to pump some energy into the audio first of all
I took on the role of animating a few sections of the piece, and then ultimately collecting and compiling everyone's work into one continuous sequence, which meant editing some people's work to create more succinct transitions. We kept an overall tone and palette of bright colours to reflect the vibrancy of creative life at the uni, as well as to keep the piece exciting. The piece was well received by students and staff members, and is still in place on the university internal website for students to view freely.
